Fuzz Machine is an oscillating germanium fuzz pedal that made to be inbuilt directly into the body of the guitar. It makes a powerful, loud siren-like sound controlled by two adjustment knobs on the surface of a guitar body. This upgrade is made by our partner – well-known manufacturer of guitar effects
Noise Space Audio.
We were inspired to create this effect by Matt Bellamy's guitars, some of which have a built-in Fuzz Factory unit. Initially, our team tested many different guitars with the original Fuzz Factory, testing them on different amplifiers with different pedalboard setups. It turned out that original circuit has one significant drawback – none of the five controllers allows you to adjust the tone of the fuzz to the current setup. You have to either adjust the equalizer of the amplifier, which leads to harsh sound of all other effects in chain, or put up with the sharp tone of the fuzz, which stands out among all other pedals.
We managed to solve this problem in our
Fuzz Machine circuit thanks to a specially designed Tone control knob, which allows you to calibrate the tonal characteristics of this fuzz. When the Tone is set fully clockwise, it turns off and no longer affects the tone. We recommend starting at a position where the Tone knob is set to 12 o’clock. Also try it fully counterclockwise – in this position Fuzz Machine sounds quite similar to powerful analog synthesizers. The effect is powered by a 9V battery.
The back cover is mounted on magnets, which allows you to quickly access the controllers or even change their settings in between songs.
Fuzz Machine circuit can be installed in any model of Bond Guitars while pre-ordering the guitar. Bond Guitars – Bond to Music.
