Pre-ordering Bond Munchkin Deluxe involves the following steps:
• You choose the body color and other options using the form below
• We send your preorder documents to the provided email address
• A prepayment amount needed to start the build is 50% of the total cost
• Production of a deluxe model takes approximately three months
• We make photos and short demo of your bass and ship it after full payment
The deluxe version of Bond Munchkin features premium materials and components. The neck is made of high grade American roasted flame maple and the body is made of select European alder. Hipshot USA hardware and Seymour Duncan pickups are used for this model. The bass will be properly shipped in the original gigbag or case, and the tone longevity will be ensured by Elixir strings. Bond Munchkin Deluxe costs 2,700 EUR in the basic configuration. We ship with UPS International from our guitar hub in Austria. Which color do you prefer?
By default, our production models are available in two colors – Matt Black and Electric Blue. Also, you can order other colors provided by Bond Guitars palette or choose a custom color.
Bond Munchkin is our original short-scale bass. It got its name with reference to the breed of short-legged cats because of that feature. But the features of this bass do not end there. The total length of this bass is exactly one meter. This size makes it especially comfortable to play. Moreover, such size eliminates transportation difficulties: the bass fits in literally any regular guitar case or gigbag.
The Bond Munchkin's neck is a bolt-on and made of radial cut roasted flame maple imported from the USA. This is the highest quality material. The fingerboard is made of same maple and the body is made of selected European alder. Scale length measures 30,5" which provides better string tension and tone comparing to other short scale basses on the market. The nut is GraphTech TUSQ XL, and Hipshot tuners and bridge are installed on the bass.
Bond Munchkin has a split humbucker Seymour Duncan SPB-3 Quarter Pound. This is a unique pickup model that gives a powerful and rich tone, while maintaining the necessary brightness and clearness even during slapping. The electronics in the bass are located under a metal cover, which provides shielding from hum. It can easily be found due to the bright shine on the front side of the bass. Another interesting detail is the adjustment of tone and volume by two American made potentiometers from CTS with an Orange Drop capacitor. The electronics are based on the classic Precision Bass wiring circuit with a hum-canceling pickup.
Despite the cute look, Bond Munchkin rumbles on stage powerfuly and fiercely. It is worth trying and hearing for yourself.
